Open Question: What could be wrong with my stomach?
Ok so first off I will name off some of my symptoms then I will tell you a little bit more about how it began. Indigestion, Acid reflux, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting,and stomach pain. At first i thought it was just indigestion because it was just a normal pain that would come and go after i had ate. Then i started getting acid reflux too which still didn’t worry me to much because i get it all the time but then I got to the point where I did not want to eat at all. Every time i eat i get nauseated and then i would feel like I was going to vomit. Well sunday evening I vomited over and over again. I had already been kinda vomiting in my mouth but it would never be enough to come out but sunday it was more than enough. It feels kinda like a big ball of food rolled up and stuck in my esophagus. It makes me sick and i gag constantly all day basically. Sometimes it makes me short of breath and then i get sick again. I’ve been taking a generic form of Reglan because someone told me to take it but all it did was stop me from vomiting and make my stomach hurt worse. I’m only 16 and I have had acid reflux and indigestion problems for awhile now and it never bothered me that bad but recently I went off to church camp and I wonder if maybe the water was unclean or maybe it was something in the food they cooked there but still I would’ve thought by now it would be over with since that was 2 weeks ago. Now im not having any diarrhea problems but im feeling constipated now. So i dont know what exactly is going wrong. I know the best thing would probably be to go to the doctor but I really don’t want to go unless I just have to. So can you give me an idea of what you think it might be?

Open Question: I feel like I am shaking inside, but I’m not actually shaking! please help?
Last Wednesday night, I was lying in bed when all of a sudden, I thought the bed was moving. It wasn’t, but I felt like it was. This has been happening since then, and I am at my wits end.

Along with this ’shaking’ feeling, I have also been having heart palpitations although I’ve not had these for the last two days. Last night, I felt so weak and found it hard to focus on things for a small time, but this stopped by the time I went to bed.

Today, I feel like I want to burp but when I try, I can’t. It feels exactly like when you are ready to burp, and this has been here all day. It is not painful, but annoying. I felt sick as a dog last night, so wondering whether this is acid reflux or not?

I have had heart palpitations, but no pain. I have not been in pain, and my chest has not been tight. I did have a sort of ‘dull discomfort’ on the right side of my chest for a few days, but that is gone and I believe it to be related to something completely different.

Does anyone have a clue what this is? I’m getting really pissed off by it and it’s driving me crazy. I made an appointment with my gp yesterday but they are fully booked until next Monday, so I am stuck with this for almost a week! I can sleep fine and eat fine. Last Friday, I had no symptoms at all and thought it had gone but it came back on saturday.

I am overweight, which I am aware of and prior to last Friday, my diet was atrocious. I have since taken steps to improve the things I eat. I googled these symptoms last night and saw something about low blood sugar levels mentioned. I have drank two bottles of lucozade today and still having this feeling, so I now don’t believe this is the case.

Do you necessarily have to ‘feel scared’ to have an anxiety disorder? I am a very tense person. I always ‘think about things way too much’, in such a way that my mind races with thoughts about simple, everyday things. If I hear noises, I am instantly on edge and tense.

I also suffer from un-diagnosed OCD. The reason I say un-diagnosed is because I went to a gp last march, but was too nervous to even make an appointment with the psychologist. I know I had it though, and sometimes it does interfere with my daily life.
Also, there is a history of depression in my family. My father is currently depressed as we speak, has been for years, and he is not the only one in my family who has suffered from it.

Open Question: Trouble sleeping because of Acid Reflux?
I’m 15 and went to the doctor’s recently, where they diagnosed me with Acid Reflux. She recommended Pepcid Complete, and told me to have one tablet a night for two weeks to see how it worked. It’s been a week, and it seems to be helping with some symptoms, but definitely not all of them. I get heartburn occasionally now, I’ve been having a lot of phlegm, but worst of all is it’s difficult for me to sleep.
I love the feeling of going to bed but now I stay up late so I’m utterly exhausted when I go to bed, just so I fall asleep faster. When I lie down (I sleep on both sides (I turn a lot until i finally fall asleep)) it feels like it’s difficult to breathe, like it’s hard for me to get a full breath and when i exhale it all rushes out as if I have pressure on my lungs. I get really nervous when it comes to my health, so that doesn’t help me sleep either. When I told my doctor about it, she said it was a symptom of Acid Reflux. I still have a week to go on my little trial of the Pepcid, but it’s not really helping at all (especially with my sleeping and heartburn)
How can I relieve my symptoms and sleep easier without medicine, since I’m using that Pepcid Complete stuff? What would you do if you were in this position?
